Research Description:

Air filtration typically involves the removal of particulate matter (dust, pollen, etc.) from the air. However, my research aims to do this by utilising acoustic radiation forces, an innovative approach for particle manipulation within a fluid medium. This technique benefits from the principles of particles' migration under the influence of sound waves called acoustophoresis, to achieve efficient and continuous air purification without relying on traditional physical filters. Acoustophoresis in air filtration holds a substantial promise for advancing the efficiency and sustainability of air purification systems in various settings -- from industrial applications to indoor air quality management.

Why CIGP?

My professor, whose work is known for interdisciplinary computation, in the first meeting advised me to visit the CIGP page and see if it could interest you. At first sight, I fell in love with the mission of CIGP since my focus is also computational research. The aim of CIGP to specialize students in the computational sciences and engineering and establish connections among the students and faculty of various disciplines is enough to convince someone enthusiastic for collaborative work and computational research.
